About Pilates at luluto
I’m a complete beginner. Is that okay?
Absolutely. The vast majority of our clients start as beginners. Your first session is a thorough assessment, where we gently check your joint mobility. Every session is one-on-one, allowing us to tailor the intensity to your fitness level, ensuring you can start safely and comfortably.
I have a pre-existing injury or medical condition. Can I do Pilates?
For safety reasons, you may not be able to participate depending on your condition. We strongly recommend consulting with your doctor before attending. Please be sure to inform your instructor of any pre-existing conditions before your session.
Is Pilates suitable for men?
Yes, of course. Many of our male clients enjoy Pilates for performance enhancement in sports, as well as for improving posture and alleviating issues like back and shoulder pain.
Can older adults start Pilates?
Yes. Pilates can be adapted for older adults of varying abilities. Our approach is based on physiotherapy-informed principles, with sessions tailored to individual strength, mobility, and comfort levels. Exercises are guided and adjusted as needed, allowing you to move in a controlled and supported way while focusing on safety, alignment, and gradual progress.
Can I attend sessions if I am pregnant?
For your safety, we do not accept clients who are pregnant. We look forward to welcoming you back to the studio post-natal.
When can I start Pilates post-natal?
Congratulations! You can start your Pilates journey from 3 months post-partum, provided you have clearance from your doctor to begin exercise.
Your First Session
What should I bring to my first session?
Please bring comfortable, stretchable clothing that allows you to move easily, as well as a small towel. Grip socks are recommended for safety and stability during your session. If you don’t have a pair, normal socks will do just fine. Filtered water is provided at the studio.
How long is each session?
Please allow approximately 60 minutes from arrival to departure. Your first session may take a little longer as we’ll be explaining things in more detail.
What happens after my Intro Session?
At the end of your session, your instructor will discuss their findings and recommend a personalised plan. We’ll suggest a suitable monthly membership to help you continue your progress, but there is absolutely no pressure to sign up.
Our Method & Results
How is luluto different from other Pilates studios?
We take a physio-led approach to Pilates, with a strong focus on understanding how your body moves. We begin with an individual assessment to identify movement patterns and contributing factors, rather than treating sessions as generic workouts. All sessions are delivered 1-on-1 and guided using a range of Pilates equipment, allowing exercises to be adapted to your needs and ability. This ensures each session is specific to you.
How quickly can I expect to see results?
While this varies for each individual, many clients begin to feel a change within the first month as they become more aware of their posture and correct body use. With consistency, you can expect to build on this progress, integrating ideal movements into your daily life and achieving a significant transformation over time.
Memberships & Bookings
Can I share my membership sessions with family?
Yes, sessions within a plan can be shared between family members. However, sessions cannot be shared with friends.
Can I bring my child with me?
We’re sorry, but for safety management reasons, we do not allow children to accompany clients during sessions.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled session will result in the loss of the credit. Plan changes and withdrawals cna be made untile the 10th of the previous month.
Can I pause my membership?
Yes, you can pause your membership for a minimum of two weeks and up to one month per year. Please provide us with at least 14 days’ notice in writing.
